University Systems is pleased to announce that we have installed over 280 new computers in our student computing facilities located in the Clearihue, Business & Economics, and Human & Social Development buildings.
There are now seven classrooms of Dell Optiplex 390s (BEC 170, BEC 180, CLE A010, CLE A012, CLE A102, CLE A105, and HSD A170) running Windows 7 and one classroom (CLE A108) offering Apple Mac Minis running OS 10.7 Lion.
Our Windows computers now also allow a user to save files to their desktop or My Documents folder on one computer and access these files from another computer in our facility. This is accomplished behind the scenes by transparently storing these files on our central file storage system.
You are encouraged to become familiar with the new computers and test your applications prior to your first booking in any of the updated classrooms. Facility staff will be happy to assist.
